Terms of use
What you can expect from Ideora, and what we expect in return.
Using Ideora
Ideora is provided to schools and education groups for use by their students and staff. Access is arranged through the school.
Accounts are for the person they are issued to. Students should not share account access with anyone else.
What students make
Students own the Creations they make. We do not claim ownership of student work.
We store and process Creations in order to provide the product — building them, keeping version history, and serving them when Published. That is the extent of it.
Every Published Creation carries a small Made with Ideora mark.
We will not put a student's work on our website or in our marketing without permission.
What may not be built
Ideora may not be used to create anything unlawful, anything intended to harm or harass a person, or anything designed to deceive people about who made it or what it does.
Requests that are unsafe for the age range Ideora is written for are refused by the product itself.
We may suspend access where these terms are being broken. Where Ideora is provided through a school, we will normally raise it with the school first.
Usage limits
AI usage is subject to daily limits per project. These exist so that usage stays inside a range appropriate to a classroom and cannot run away.
Published Creations give each visitor a small free allowance of the Creation's AI features. Beyond that allowance the Creation continues to work; only its AI features pause.
What we are responsible for
We work to keep Ideora available and working, and to keep every version of a student's Creation so that nothing is lost. We cannot promise the service will never be unavailable.
Creations are made with the help of AI, which can produce results that are wrong or unexpected. Reviewing what a Creation does before relying on it — or before Publishing it — is part of using the product, and is something we deliberately teach.
Ending use
A school may stop using Ideora at any time. Contact us about what should happen to student work at that point, and we will confirm what we have done.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that affects schools or students materially, we will tell the schools using Ideora rather than rely on this page being re-read.
